Miami Shores Criminal Defense Lawyer

Protecting Your Rights

If you have been charged with a misdemeanor or felony, you will need legal advice from a Miami Shores criminal defense attorney. At Seltzer Law, PA, we provide clients with committed and vigorous representation in criminal cases. Attorney David Seltzer is a former prosecutor in the Miami-Dade State's Attorney's office and a 2010 Rising Star. He has years of experience representing clients charged with a criminal offense, and is an excellent source of legal advice regarding your rights and defense options.

Miami Shores is an incorporated village of about 10,000 people. Because it's not far from the northern borders of Miami and is an easy distance from employment centers in Miami-Dade County, it functions more as a suburb of Miami than a small town. Miami Shores is one of the older suburbs of Miami and was originally founded by a group of Northern families who named it Biscayne. A hurricane in the 1920s put the brakes on development, but new developers stepped in and incorporated the village in 1932. Miami Shores is home to the main campus of Barry University, a private Catholic university that started life as a Catholic women's college. Demographically, the area is middle-class or even affluent, and is home to Miami Country Day School as well as several religious schools and schools run by Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Miami Shores residents with business in the criminal courts are lucky to have an easy 15-minute drive to the Richard Gerstein Justice Center on NW 12th Street in Miami. Our firm represents clients from Miami Shores and around Miami-Dade County who are defending themselves from criminal charges of all kinds. We understand that a brush with the legal system can be stressful and upsetting and can happen at any time, so we are available to our clients 24 hours a day and 7 days a week - literally anytime.

Defense Against Criminal Charges

Our firm provides legal representation in criminal cases such as weapons & firearm charges, drug charges, drug trafficking and drug cultivation. We also help clients accused of parole violations, mortgage fraud, insurance fraud, bankruptcy fraud, passing worthless checks, prostitution, assault, sexual battery and attempted felony murder. We are highly trained litigators that will mount a tough defense and effectively challenge the prosecution's evidence. If you have been charged with a crime, contact us for a free consultation.
